Course Information
Course Objectives:
Through this course, students will learn through the interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational modes of demonstrating language skills. This includes conversational speaking and listening; listening and reading for comprehension; and presenting topics through speaking and writing.
Students will finite their German grammar and communication skills through topics such as Food, Travel, Vacations, Shopping, Interests, and Festivals. Additional themes will be discussed according to student interest and through the use of authentic and current materials.
Culture Credit: Students will complete 50 pts of culture credit during the trimester. This will be part of the participation category. According to the ACTFL World Readiness Standards for Language Learners, German Learners will use the language both within and beyond the classroom to interact and collaborate in their community and the globalized world. Students will become lifelong learners setting goals and reflecting on their progress in using languages for enjoyment, enrichment, and advancement.
