Course Description:
Course Description: Students will use the French language to create projects on various cultural aspects of the francophone world. Students will study the regions of France, Africa, Asia, Canada and their cuisine. We will also study French art and music and read literature. Culture is emphasized with some grammar review and lots of speaking opportunities.
Grading Policy
Test, quizzes and projects : 60% of grade.
Assignments, homework: 25% of grade.
Participation: on time to class, on task, electronic devices in backpack: 15% of grade.
Homework is due the day after it is assigned at the beginning of class unless stated otherwise.
Late work is not accepted unless a student is absent due to illness or an appointment.
It is the students' responsibility to make up any missed assignments or tests when absent.
Students should check the module of the week daily for assignments and notes given in class. Workbook pages can be accessed through Clever, Carnegie Learning under resources.

School Provided Resources (Textbook, Calculator, etc): Your textbook is T'es branche!. There are physical books in the classroom, and you are able to access it online through Clever. You are also able to access the workbook as well as other materials on Clever.
Supplies you will need to provide for this class: a notebook, specifically for this class. It can be a spiral notebook or a composition notebook, a writing utensil, loose leaf notebook paper, and a CHARGED chromebook.
Bring these supplies daily, including your cahier du vocabulaire, which we will make in class.
Classroom Expectations: Electronics must be put away BEFORE the tardy bell. This includes phones and any device for ears that are used for listening to music.
Only water is allowed, and NO GUM.
No hoods worn in class.
If you are confused, ask questions during class, or see me outside of class.
