Code.org Login

  1. Create a Code.org account if they haven’t already done so. They can do this at https://studio.code.org/users/sign_up/account_type. Note that they can either sign up with an email address and password, or sign up through Google, Facebook, or Microsoft by clicking on one of these buttons:

  2. Sign in to their Code.org account.
  3. Once they press the "Go" button, they should be added to your section.

 

IA Information: 

 

The IA is due on Friday, March 27, 2026.

 

Steps to do for you IA project:

Criterion A:

  • February 3: Chose a client (ex, teacher, aunt, uncle, etc.)
  • February 4: Define a problem your client is having for which you will try to find a solution with software.  Do this by having conversations with your client.
  • February 4: State the rationale for your proposed product.  This rationale will come from defining the problem. 
  • February 5: State the criteria for success.  This is all the functionality of your software that makes this successful for you client.
  • February 10: Do a peer review for your Criterion A.

Criterion B:

  • Friday, February 13:  Upload Criterion B Record of Tasks document to Canvas.  Your Record of Tasks document should show your tasks for Criterion A and Criterion B.

Joining Your Code.org Section (one-time only)

If a student has not yet joined your section, please ask them to perform the following steps. Note that they only need to do this once. By joining your section, students will be able see the course assigned to them and you will be able to track the progress of the work they complete while they are signed in.
