Course Description/Objectives:

The course will cover the following topics with an emphasis on exploring a variety of career routes that may become an interest to you and your future.

The Healthcare Team: What is the healthcare team, development of teamwork and common medical terminology among health professions

Exploration of the following Career Pathways: Therapeutic, Diagnostic, Health Informatics & Support, Biotechnology Research & Development.

History & Future Trends of Healthcare: A look in to what in the history of healthcare has affected today and will continue to develop in to the future.

Personal & Professional Qualities: What are qualities common of a Healthcare Professional? What do Healthcare professionals do to keep themselves healthy mentally, emotionally & physically  

Grading Policy:

I will grade all work at the end of the week, and you have until then to complete your assignments for FULL credit.

At the end of the week, due now's will be locked and you will not be able to make these participation points up.

Assignments will be kept open until November 22, 2023. Assignments turned in the following week will be automatically deducted 25%. Assignments turned in after that until November 22, 2023 will be automatically deducted 50%.

Anything turned in after November 22, 2023 will not be graded. You must contact me via email if there are any concerns when getting close to this due date.
