Course Information
Course Description:
Algebra 2A is the first trimester of the second-year algebra, college track course at Hazen High School. It is also the minimum required math course for acceptance into Washington universities.
We build upon the concepts studied in Algebra 1 and Geometry. Major topics include:
- Introduction to Functions
- Quadratic Functions
- Polynomial Functions
In addition to complex mathematical manipulations, Algebra 2A demands a higher sophistication of mathematical reasoning. Developing such reasoning throughout the trimester will not only help you be successful in this class, but also will be integral to your future success in mathematics, and the challenges of the “real world.”
