Tr2 22-23 Per 1 MARKETING EXPLORATION
This is a one trimester class in which students are introduced to the fundamentals of marketing: Students will develop the skills necessary to secure and succeed in the world of work. Some topics include: Price, Product, Place, Promotion, Marketing Plans, Careers, Ethics.

Students will participate and become members of the local DECA Chapter. Activities will include leadership, skill development, and participation at local, state and national leadership conferences.
This year we have one Trimester to introduce you to the marketing world and to get you ready to compete at the DECA Area 5 Competition on January 7th here at Hazen High School (or virtual). We have a lot of work to do, but hopefully it will be interesting. The more you participate, the more you will enjoy what we are doing.

DECA CLUB
Mission: DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
Career and Technical Student Organizations are encouraged and required for every Career and Technical Education (CTE) class in the state of Washington. Therefore, every student is requested to join the DECA club. DECA is the Marketing club that helps students experience business and marketing. Members compete in 'simulation' events where they use what they learned in Marketing class to solve a real world problem. Next year we will be travelling to Atlanta, GA to compete against International DECA students. We are encouraging everyone to participate with this goal in mind.
Come as often as you can, we love to have students from every interest...so, we try our best to make everyone welcome. Please speak to Ms. Crow with any questions.
