Everyday expectations The goal of social studies education is to develop knowledgeable, responsible, and active participants in our society, therefore I ask of you to:
- Be in class and in your seat prior to the tardy bell.
- Be in class the first 10 and last 10 minutes of class (no hall passes at this time, therefore manage your time well).
- Be responsible and mindful with your phone.
- Away while the teacher is talking/presenting.
- Ok if using for educational purposes (as a calculator, additional tool for research, using for Kahoot/Quizlet/Blooket.
- Communicate needs with me (i.e. my uncle is in the hospital and my mom is sending me updates….)
- See additional norms in our course guide.
Bring to class each day:
- Chromebook and charger
- Pens and pencils
- Highlighters (3 different colors)
- Additional notebook or paper
Communication
I expect greatness from each student. As your teacher I will do my best to support you in your learning and communication is key to that. The best form of communication is through email, as I check it each day. Please email me if you foresee an extended absence, are sick, or if you need additional assistance with classwork. I am here to help!
