BRIDGE TO COLLEGE ELA B

Dear Seniors,

You did it. You're done with high school! In a normal year, this is a pretty huge accomplishment, but with the pandemic being a thing for the past year and a half, this year it's an even bigger accomplishment. Be proud of yourself, treat yourself, luxuriate in the accolades; you deserve to. Get some rest. Relax. Then, go off and be awesome, amazing, kind, compassionate, continue to make positive decisions, and fight for yourself, your families, and against injustice.

It was my absolute joy and delight to work with you all this year (and many of you last year too)! I'm honored to be chosen to read your names at graduation, and can't wait to try to speak your names while trying not to ugly cry my face off. :)

Grades for my class are finalized, saved, and posted at this point. I am no longer taking any missing/make-up work. Feel free to check them in Skyward until Monday. Before tomorrow, PLEASE take the time to copy/forward anything you want to keep from your school GoogleDrive, Canvas, OneDrive, or email. Think about teacher letters of recommendation, resumes, career research, a project you're particularly proud of etc. On Monday, your accounts will be deactivated, as you will no longer be an RSD student.

For those of you walking in the graduation ceremony, I'll see you Friday at rehearsal, and again on Saturday for the big dance. For those of you quietly exiting stage left (or who have already begun transitioning to life after Hazen), I'll just say, "See ya later."

Love,

Mrs. Hewitt

YEARBOOK INFORMATION (So Far):

  • Yearbooks will be shipped to school and to the homes of  seniors who bought the book by June 18 sometime in late July
  • Students can still buy books (and seniors who want them mailed home should buy them by June 18): Here is the page on the school website for that Books are $65 this year.
  • We will be mailing a book insert to seniors that will include special things like superlatives, graduation, fun memories and quotes. This will be printed in the week after graduation and I should be able to mail them by the last week of June.

Message from Ms. Eide: As of graduation day you are no longer RSD students. If there is anything in your OneDrive, GoogleDrive, Career Cruising, Canvas (or other) you want, you need to download it NOW! Waiting until the 21st is too late.
