Attendance:
I have to take attendance every day! This is state law! It is very challenging when we are not in a classroom setting. Therefore we are going to try this:
Every day you will answer a daily question in Canvas.
- The attendance question is found under the "assignment" or "modules" tab.
- Click on the appropriate day and answer the question (daily) by 3:15 pm
- If you don't respond by 3:15 pm you will be marked absent
- Attendance is 2 points each day
Late/Missing Work:
Due to remote/online learning, students will be allowed to turn in ANY assignment until Sunday, March 14th ALL assignments are due on this date. This is one week before the end of the 2nd trimester.
Assignments still have due dates. Please do your best to complete assignments on time, so that you don't fall behind.
Grading Scale:
Due to remote/online learning, there is a modified grading scale. To pass the class (earn credit) you need a 40%. All assignments are graded using a scale of 1-5 points.
1= did not turn the assignment in or shows no understanding of the material or did not meet the standard.
2= understanding the foundational material, still working to master concepts and skills.
3= demonstrates proficiency of the material.
4= demonstrates an in-depth understanding of the material.
