Course Syllabus
Course Description:
Algebra 1B is the third course in the Algebra sequence. Students will be introduce to quadratic functions, its features, and applications. Earning 40% in Algebra I-B is a graduation requirement.
Attendance
Zoom attendance has no directly impact students' grades.
On every school day, students must should submit their daily assignment at least 1 time before 3PM to be marked as present in class.
Assignment
Teachers will post 2 to 4 assignments on Canvas Module per week for students to strengthen their understanding and skills.
Students are often given 10 attempts and 2 weeks to earn the highest grade possible on every assignment..
Students should submit every assignment at least 1 time by 1PM on the day that it is assigned for attendance.
Teachers are available to help students correcting their mistakes.
Friday Assessments
Every Friday, there will be either a test, quiz or performance task for students to complete between 10AM and 1PM.
Students must complete the Friday assessments on time to be marked as present in class for Fridays.

Grading Policy
Grades are usually updated on Skyward every other Fridays.
Biweekly progress report will be sent to students and guardians' emails as listed on Skyward.
Students need to earn at least 40% or a D grade to receive credit for Algebra 1B.
Weighted Category: 60% Assessments + 40% Assignments

Teachers are available for individual support @8:30-9:00AM on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
