Assignment Expectations

  1. All assignments are due, completed, at the beginning of the period.
  2. Write legibly; if your work cannot be deciphered, it cannot be graded.
  3. For an excused absence, it is your responsibility to turn in or collect work assigned while you were gone.

Grading

  • Points may be earned on homework, class work, tests, activities, assessments, projects, essays and citizenship.
  • Grading is always on a straight scale.
  • Quarter grades will be based on your earned percentage of all points possible.
  • Semester grades will be based on your earned percentage of all points possible in both quarters.
  • Redo Policy: due to the amount of time given for assignments and preparation for tests/quizzes there are no redo opportunities.

  1. Assignments turned in late but on the same day it was due will receive a reduction of one grade level.
  2. Assignments turned in late from one to five calendar days after the due date will receive fifty percent credit if it meets the teacher’s acceptable criteria.
  3. Assignments will not be accepted after five calendar days following the due date.
  4. If the five-day late work period ends over a weekend or break it is the responsibility of the student to email the assignment to the teacher during those five days.
