Your user name (log in) is the first 3 letters of your first name(dot)first 3 letters of your last name###(3 numbers that are a tie breaker if someone else has the same letter pattern you do.

To Reset Computer Password

You must be on a network computer at school to reset your password. Passwords must be complex. A complex password must be 8-12 characters long. It must contain 3 of the following: upper case letter, lower case letter, number, special character. It cannot contain your name or your ID#. You can never repeat a password. 

To access online tools

There is a new tab just under the skyward logo at the top of this page. The tab is named RSD Login Portal. Use this portal to access Office 365, Canvas, Google Docs, Google Drive, Gmail. Your user name is your regular computer login add @rentonstudent.us. The password is the same as your computer password. Always use the links from the Renton School District Website to access these online tools, including Skyward. 

Student Email

You have an email. It is your regular computer log in @rentonstudent.us.  Example: fir.las000@rentonstudent.us This email is for your Office 365 Outlook account.

To access Skyward Family Access

Use the same user name you use to access the computers. If you have forgotten your password you can either find Mrs. Eide in room 231A or on the Skyward login screen click “forgot my password” and a new password will be sent to your Outlook email.

Parent Access to Skyward Family Access

Parents are sent a letter at the beginning of the school year with Skyward access information. If you don’t remember your log in ask your student to contact Mrs. Eide. We are not able to reset parent passwords, you must select “forgot my password”. A new password will be sent to the email on record.

Do you use the Skyward app on your phone?

In December Skyward issued a flawed update to their mobile app that prevented users from signing-on using the app if they had a special character in their password. On January 4, Skyward released a new version of the mobile app. All staff, students, parents should access their mobile app store to update to the latest version of the Skyward app that fixes the flaw. Also, our Skyward provider updated their Skyward server to support the updated mobile app, but it appears it may have caused some passwords to expire. You can reset your password yourself by clicking on the “forgot my password link” on the skyward log in page. The link to change your password will be sent to your outlook account.
