The overarching goal of the course is for you to continue to build your writing, discussion, and analysis skills while developing a greater understanding of American Society through the examination of literature.

Essential Questions
What does it mean to be an American?
What are American values?
How does the American experience vary for different groups of people?
What is the American dream?
Is it relevant and achievable today?
