What is a haploid cell? A haploid cell is a special cell that only has one copy of each chromosome (ex 1 long, 1 medium and 1 short)
Why do we make special haploid cells? Since each gamete combines with another during fertilization, having one of each allows for the zygote (future baby) to have the appropriate number of chromosomes
