ASGN 14: Identifying Theme (Hot Soup, Man in the Blue Car, and Give me the Money)

Re-read the stories from this trimester. Then answer the questions about the stories.

To identify the theme, ask yourself:

1.  What did the main character learn?
2.  How did the main character change from the beginning to the end of the story?
3.  Why did the main character act the way he did? 
4. What is the lesson the author wants to teach the reader about life or how to behave?

You can use this sentence starter:

The theme of the story is _______. One evidence that supports this theme is when __________.
