Today I would like you to get a closer look at a college course catalog.

Imagine that for your project you could take college classes. Your goal is to find the courses that would advance your understanding of your issue. Which departments should you look at? Would undergraduate lectures be enough, or would you need to take some graduate-level seminars? Should you take only the courses that mention your research topic, or those that don't mention it but might offer a new approach to the problem?

At this point, of course, you will not be able to take the actual classes. But solely by reading course descriptions, you can already understand more about the research and discussions that are happening at our universities. You will also get some understanding how to use a course catalog and how courses are organized at a university level, as compared to high school. For example, notice how most courses focus narrowly on one or two topics (unlike most courses in high school which are broad, such as Chemistry or World History).

Hopefully, these descriptions will help you understand better in which direction to take your project.
