Unit 2: Rational Exponents and Radical Functions (BI Chapter 5), Day 3: Exponent Rules, Rational Exponents

Today's Learning Objectives: more practice reviewing & getting used to rational exponents.

You will continue building fluency with perfect squares (to 20), perfect cubes (to 10), powers of 2, powers of 3, and powers of 10

This unit is all about Radical Functions. Radical Functions can be written with Rational Exponents (exponents that are fractions), so we began with a review of the Exponent Rules for integers which we are now extending to rational numbers.

Here is a copy of the outline of Friday's notes: 5.1 Intro to Exponent Rules and Radicals. And here is the Student Journal 5.1 blank document that covers all of the ideas for this section (and Student Journal 5.1 completed).

Homework HW 2.3: Finish or re-do homework from Friday to be sure you understand it. Kuta WS #3 My expectation is that you do these without a calculator. WRITE THE PROBLEMS!

Lists of answers without process will not receive credit!
