Course Information

Physics A will focus on the study of motion, forces, and momentum.  The course will include both conceptual ideas and applied mathematics.

Assessments (60%) Quizzes, tests, scientific writing assessments.         

Classwork (30%) Daily assignments & activities

Final Exam (10%)

• All students are expected to participate in classwork. Assigned work is expected to be turned in on or before the date due, late penalties may be applied. 

• Quizzes may be retaken. Unit tests may be retaken for successively reduced credit. No retest on final exam.

Grade Scale

  A: 94 – 100%     A-: 90 – 93%     B+: 87 – 89%     B: 84 – 86%     B-: 80 – 83%    C+: 77 – 79%     C: 74 – 76%     C: 70 – 73%      D+: 67 - 69%     D: 60 – 66%    F: < 59%
