What we did Thursday May 11th

If you missed class, be sure to look at the PowerPoint and complete the Child Labor WebQuest on your own.

Today, Ms. M is gone. Use the slides as a guide to follow what you are doing today. Today you started with 30 minutes of worktime on the Smith + Marx reading + questions we started in class yesterday. After this, you started the child labor webquest. Children were uniquely impacted by the Industrial Revolution, and even though it can be difficult, it is important that we learn about their experience. To start this, look at famous images of child labor from the Industrial Revolution on the slides. After you examine the images, there is a reflective free write. It is okay that you don't know the specifics about these images. What IS important is what you notice in the images, and how the images make you feel/what they make you think about. The rest of class was spent completing the Child Labor Webquest. Please pay very close attention to the directions, and make sure to answer all parts of each question. You will have some time in class tomorrow to complete the WebQuest. The Webquest is due to Canvas by the end of the day Friday, May 12th
