Course Information
AP Biology is a three trimester, college level biology class which will cover all the major topics in biology including Matter and Energy dynamics on an organism and ecological level, Genetics, Evolution and Ecology. Additionally, the course will focus on cultivating skills in the scientific process, collection of data and analysis of data sets.
- Students will be able to identify and explain patterns in data sets.
- Students will be able to explain the mechanisms responsible for each key biological process studied in a particular unit.
- Students will be able to choose and apply an appropriate statistical analysis to mathematically test a hypothesis.
- Students will be able to communicate scientific ideas using relevant data and clear and detailed explanations.
