Washington State Opportunity Scholarship

Application deadline February 26th!

Eligibility:

Be a Washington state resident. WSOS accepts undocumented students.
Plan to pursue or be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an eligible STEM or health care majorLinks to an external site. at an eligible Washington state college or universityLinks to an external site..

If you’ve been in college since graduating high school and have earned more than 90 quarter or 60 semester credits by the application deadline, you are not eligible to apply.

Have a family income that does not exceed 125% of Washington state median family incomeLinks to an external site..Links to an external site. Example: a family of four may not exceed $174,500 per year.
File the 2026-27 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)Links to an external site. or Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA)Links to an external site. by the application deadline (February 26, 2026, at 9 p.m. PST).
Students must submit their most recent transcript showing a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher (it can be an unofficial transcript):

High school seniors: Upload your high school transcript, even if you’re in dual-credit or Running Start.
GED students: Upload your transcript showing a passing GED score. If you haven’t earned it yet, check the box in the application indicating that you’ll provide your score by June 30.
College students: Upload a transcript showing that you earned a high school credential in Washington state. If you've earned any college credits, also upload your latest college transcript showing a GPA of at least 2.75.

American Legion Scholarship:

If you are a child or grandchild of a military veteran, you may be eligible for a $2,500 scholarship from the Renton American Legion Fred Hancock Post 19 to help pay for college.

Applications are available now and include eligibility requirements and instructions. Completed applications must be mailed (address is on the application) and received by April 6, 2026. Submitting a backup copy by email is encouraged but not required.

Kennydale PTA Scholarship

We are excited to share that the Kennydale PTA Scholarship application is now open! Graduating seniors who attended Kennydale Elementary are invited to apply for this scholarship, which recognizes students for academic effort, school and community involvement, and future goals. Up to $1000 will be awarded!

Application deadline: March 15

Required materials: Application, transcript, activities/service summary, and a short essay
Optional materials: Recommendation letter

Renton Regional Foundation Scholarship

As many as 22 scholarships are available to any of our Renton School District 2026 graduates through the Renton Regional Community Foundation. Scholarships range from $500 to $10,000. Learn about these scholarships and start to apply now at https://rentonfoundation.org/scholarships/

Renton Rotary Scholarship

Renton Rotary this year will again award $3,000 scholarships to two seniors at each district high school.

Application packets must include:

· Renton Rotary Scholarship Application’s found at https://rentonrotary.org/scholarship.php

· Completed application packet

o emailed with subject line, Rotary Scholarship Application, to rentonrotaryscholarships@gmail.com

· Copy of high school transcript

· Two letters of recommendation (at least one from a teacher, others may come from different members of the community who are familiar with student's capacity for service and leadership qualities)

Timeline:

· Deadline to apply is Monday, March 17: Completed applications due to rentonrotaryscholarships@gmail.com

· Week of April 27, Finalists will be interviewed.

· Thursday, May 21, Scholarship Recipients attend Awards Luncheon, Fairwood Golf and Country Club 12-1:30 PM

Bryn Mawr United Methodist Church Scholarship

Bryn Mawr United Methodist Church is offering scholarship opportunities to support students in continuing their education beyond high school. Students may apply if they have been accepted into a college, university, or technical school, including programs that offer a professional or technical certificate. Students who are already enrolled in a post-high school certificate or degree program are also eligible to apply.
