Are You Our Next Builder?

Like making things with your hands? Meeting new friends? We welcome all 7th to 10th grade girls who are eager to learn and explore the exciting field of construction. No previous experience is required—just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm! BuildHER is a FREE 2-day camp that provides a unique, hands-on approach to construction careers for girls in grades 7-10. Camp is on August 6-8 at Andersen Construction’s shop in Kent, WA. Campers learn the basic elements of various construction trades and role models are on hand to support and mentor them every step of the way. Campers will get the opportunity to participate in engaging activities with a hands on approach, and will develop team building and leadership skills.

Camp buildHER is completely FREE to campers! You’ll get breakfast and lunch while at camp, and lots of cool swag!

1. Complete and Submit the Application Form: Navigate to the “Apply” page on our website. Fill out the application form with all necessary details and click the “Submit” button to send us your application.

2. Application Review: Applications close on July 11, 2025. Once our application window is closed, our committee will carefully review each camper’s application.

3. Decision Notification: There is no guarantee of acceptance into Camp buildHER. Once the review is complete, we will send an email notifying those who have been accepted. If you are accepted, this email will also include the next steps for Camp buildHER!

4. Attend the Camp: Camp will be held at Andersen Construction’s shop in Kent, WA – camp for returners will be August 6-8, and camp for first timers will be August 6 and 7. Campers must be able to attend all days of Camp buildHER.
