Washington Transportation Camp @ The University of Washington (Seattle, WA) or Washington State University (Pullman, WA)

This program is great for students interested in engineering. Are you a high school student passionate about pursuing a career in transportation or simply curious about this rapidly evolving industry, WATC promises an adventure-filled camp where you’ll explore, discover, and have a blast while learning! Do you have ideas about how we can better design our cities and towns to serve people’s travel needs? Are you curious about how people and goods move throughout your community? Have you ever wondered how artificial intelligence enhances traffic safety and improves traffic flow? If so, join us this summer at the 2025 Washington Transportation Camp (WATC) and embark on an exhilarating journey into the world of transportation! 

Camp Location and Dates:

When you apply you will pick the date and camp you are most interested in. You will stay on campus in the dorms! The entire camp is free.

  • Washington State University (Pullman, WA) - June 22nd to June 27th, 2025
  • University of Washington (Seattle, WA) - August 3rd to August 8th, 2025

Who is eligible:

Students entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in Fall 2025 in the state of Washington are eligible to apply for this program. All students meeting above qualifications, including who identify as female or non-binary, disadvantaged youth, black, indigenous, students of color, and students with disabilities are encouraged to apply. We just want curious students that have an interest in STEM and a passion for learning!

Participants are responsible for organizing their transportation to and from the camp. If you encounter any transportation challenges, please don’t hesitate to mention them in your application. We’re here to assist and accommodate wherever possible!
