Influences on Perspective

We know that point of view influences perspective...what else does? We've talked about these generally, but now we want to look at specific examples.

Instructions:

1. Identify moments in your short story where it's clear you are seeing the perspective of a character (that means you are seeing and understanding the world the way that they do)

→ What do they perceive/believe?

Hint: Moments where you are hearing character thoughts are a good place to start

2. List possible influences on that perspective

→ Where does that perception come from?

- What makes them think the way they think?

- What elements of their identity or experiences have created this perspective?
