Analysis of "Raymond's Run"

For analysis of this story, we are looking for tools that a writer uses to craft their story in a meaningful way. How do writers reveal the "meaning" that lies behind the details of the story?

Among others, writers will:

We are going to look for places where Toni Cade Bambara uses these tools, and then we will capture our thinking about her use of the tool and how it helps us understand the significance of Squeaky's story.
