US HISTORY-B (Tri 3/2022)

Room 213
My objective is that you challenge and rethink your own ideas, bring your light and wisdom to our class community, lift others up, generate questions about the U.S.'s history that cannot be answered easily, and protect the humanity in others and in yourself.
As your teacher, my job is to give you actionable feedback on your work throughout this course, as opposed to a simple number or letter grade.
For larger projects and in-class explorations, my expectation is that we will work together to revise and improve your final products so that what you submit in class is something you can stand behind and be proud of.
Your mid-term and final grades will be determined through a reflection on your personal growth, your contributions to the class community, and a two-way conversation with me.
If you or your family ever have a question about how you're doing in the class, please reach out!
Stay informed for class:
- Check announcements to see updates with lessons, materials, and tips.
- Follow the QR code for remind to receive useful info to your phone (this is really helpful if you do not check your email often... also makes it easy to get in contact with Ms. Southern)
- Use the modules tabs to jump to current weeks (this makes it clear to see what we are currently working on in class --- assignments tab is a stream of assignments in no particular order)
