Course Information
Physics B will focus on the study of Energy: the nature and conservation of energy, energy fields including gravitation and electromagnetism, and energy transmission in the form of waves. This course will include both conceptual and mathematical studies, using basic algebra.
Assessments (60%) Quizzes, tests, scientific writing assessments.
Classwork (30%) Daily assignments & activities
Final Exam (10%)
- All students are expected to participate in classwork, All assigned work is expected to be turned in on or before the date due, late penalties may be applied.
- Quizzes may be retaken. Unit tests may be retaken for successively reduced credit. No retest on final exam.
Grade Scale
A: 94 – 100% A-: 90 – 93% B+: 87 – 89% B: 84 – 86% B-: 80 – 83% C+: 77 – 79% C: 74 – 76% C: 70 – 73% D+: 67 - 69% D: 60 – 66% F: 59% & below
