Course Information
Physics A will focus on the study of motion, forces and momentum. Students will also practice scientific experimental design, evidence gathering, and analysis and conclusion writing. The course will include both conceptual ideas and applied mathematics.
Assessments (60%) Quizzes, tests, scientific writing assessments.
Classwork (30%) Daily assignments & activities
Final Exam (10%)
- All students are expected to participate in classwork. Assigned work is expected to be turned in on or before the date due, late penalties will be applied.
- Quizzes may be retaken. Unit tests may be retaken for successively reduced credit. No retest on final exam.
Grade Scale
A: 94 – 100% A-: 90 – 93% B+: 87 – 89% B: 84 – 86% B-: 80 – 83% C+: 77 – 79% C: 74 – 76% C: 70 – 73% D+: 67 - 69% D: 60 – 66% F: 59% & below
