Attendance-Taking Procedures
Please understand that communication is critical and in the absence of attendance in class / in Zoom it falls to the student to communicate what is going on, to enquire how to stay caught up, and question any confusion before assignments or assessments are due.
Attendance is not graded.
- If you are not in class but want to be counted as present, you must email before the end of the day and you are still responsible for the assigned work (or ALT work).
- If you are tardy to class and come in after attendance when I am already teaching, it is your responsibility to stay engaged through the end of the lesson and ask me verbally or in chat to confirm I have updated your attendance before you leave class.
- Attendance on Asynchronous Days is copied from the day before. If you were absent that day but, you must either check into Zoom during class or email before the end of the day.
- Remember that attendance is not graded, but if your parents are concerned about attendance it is your responsibility to consider that concern and follow the directions above.
