Lesson	We are going to work on finding circumference and arc lengths of circles. The circumference of a circle is the measure of the distance around a circle. We use the formula $LaTeX: C=2\pi r$ where C is the circumference and r is the radius. We can also use the formula $LaTeX: C=\pi d$ where d is the diameter. Because the diameter is simply two times the radius. When we want to find an arc length, we are finding the measure between two points of a given arc on the circumference of the circle. We do this by using a ratio: $LaTeX: \frac{angle}{360}=\frac{arc\:length}{circumference}$ The arc length will be the same percentage of the circumference as the angle is to 360 degrees. FYI: the "slice" of the circle is called a sector. I might use the two terms interchangeably but the appropriate word is sector.
