Maplewood Heights PTA Meeting - Volunteers will help with childcare and run games/activities. 

Hazen BLAH Volunteering Opportunities

  • Aegis Gardens @ Newcastle - Volunteers will read short stories to/with seniors and have discussions. If you are interested you MUST fill out a background check at least two days before the day of volunteering. Ask Ms. G for the form and return it to her ASAP!! Do not fill out SSN. Ask Ms. Gollegly or the BLAH board any questions! Self transport (carpooling recommended! DM our Instagram (@hazen_blah) for help finding a ride). Preferably students that can speak Chinese!

**Senior Graduation Rehearsal - Volunteers will help with set-up and break-down. 

**Renton Farmers Market - Volunteer at the Farmers Market this summer from June through September! Volunteers will help with set-up, assist vendors and shoppers! 

**City of Renton - Multiple volunteer opportunities available throughout summer! 

Camp Agape Northwest- Camp Agape Northwest has been serving children with cancer and their families since 1997. Camp Agape Northwest, a cost-free week-long camp for kids with cancer and their families, located near Gig Harbor, Washington. Camp Agape Northwest gives Children with cancer a chance to feel normal, Siblings a chance to feel special, and Parents a time to be together.

Hong Bang Vietnamese School - Volunteers will help with recess and monitor hallways! 

  • Date: Every Sunday (EXCEPT: April 4th & 6th, May 11th and 25th)
  • Time: 12:30PM - 3:00PM
  • Location: Hazen HS Cafeteria

St. Matthews Afterschool Program - Volunteers will help lead activities for middle school students. 

Kennydale Elementary - Volunteers with help with activities in and outside the classrooms, mentor students and lead recess games.

Sierra Heights Tutoring - Volunteers will help tutor elementary students! 

  • Date, Time & Location: This will be determined as you are paired up with students!

Outdoors for All - a non-profit organization that focuses on providing outdoor recreation for people with disabilities. In the winter, they offer alpine, Nordic, and snowshoe programs for people with disabilities at The Summit at Snoqualmie and Stevens Pass.

Umbrellas for P.E. Donate umbrellas to the P.E. class to receive community service hours! You can drop the umbrellas off in the Opportunity Center to Mr. Nguyen. 

Hazen Pantry - Donate food/snacks to the pantry for community service hours! Contact Mr. Nguyen (quan.nguyen@rentonschools.us) for more information.
