Instructions

Please factor out the GCF (Greatest Common Factor) for each problem.

Here are some examples:

Example #1)

LaTeX: 8x^3+24x^2+16x^1

All base numbers (non-exponents) can be divided by 8

So:

8*x*x*x + 8*3*x*x* + 8*x

Highlighed what each term has in common

8*x*x*x + 8*3*x*x* + 8*x

So, my GCF is 8x

Example #2)

LaTeX: 16x^4+4x^2

-Both terms can be divided by 4

-Both terms have an LaTeX: x^2

The GCF is LaTeX: 4x^2
