Valentina es una muchacha y baila en San José, Costa Rica. Es alta y delgada.
Valentina quiere bailar en el Teatro Nacional de Costa Rica. Quiere ser famosa.
Un día hay audiciones en el teatro. Valentina tiene zapatos de bailar muy bonitos. Se pone los zapatos y camina al Teatro Nacional de Costa Rica. Valentina quiere bailar bien, pero está nerviosa. Ella baila horriblemente. La gente no aplaude.
Al día siguiente, Valentina se pone los zapatos y camina al teatro otra vez. En el teatro hay un hombre que tiene unos zapatos muy feos. El hombre le dice: «¿Quieres bailar bien? Toma. Estos zapatos son feos pero son mágicos».
Valentina se pone los zapatos feos. ¡Valentina baila y es fantástica! La gente aplaude muchísimo.
