March 8 Introduction to Rate of reaction project

For the activity today you will need the following video:

You also will need a stop watch (like on your phone or your watch) or a clock with second hands. If you have none of these you can count out loud if needed or use the time stamps in the video. 

Watch the video and answer the following questions. 

Be aware that you are going to first be asked about how long the reaction takes so while you watch, time how long the reaction takes to finish. (from the time the Mg is dropped in the acid to the time it stops bubbling).

Over the next several days we will be preparing a lab report in stages. This week you will earn credit for your attempts at the assignments. I will provide feedback along the way and you will be expected to make the adjustments in your final draft of the lab report next week.  This means you will earn full credit even if your answers are incorrect this week and you are expected to read and use the feedback I give as you will not receive automatic full credit next week in the final report.
