Instructions
When you talk about the past, you usually use past tense verbs.
The verb be has two special forms for the past: was and were.
- Use was with I, he, she, and it.
- Use were with we, you, and they.
The verbs agree, or go with their subject. (Remember Subject-Verb Agreement from Trimester 1?)
Examples:
I was at the movies.
Francisco was there too.
We were there together.
The movies were about survivors.
