Hi all
Welcome to AVID! I hope that you had a great first trimester. We are going to start off the trimester by getting to know one another and figuring out what worked for you last trimester, and what didn't work for you. The first two weeks of class are important because we will be establishing how the norms for the class. At the beginning of the trimester, we are going to have large group meetings on Monday and small group meetings on Wednesday and Thursday. When we get more accustomed to what the expectations for class are, we will meet on just Mondays and by appointment.
I'm looking forward to this trimester with you and I hope you're looking forward to it as well.
Attendance will be taken daily on Canvas by a quiz. In each module, there will be a date and you'll be able to respond to a quiz. Attendance will be taken based off of quiz responses at 2:30 each day, so make sure that you get it done before then. You will also get a point towards your grade each day that you do it, so it'll be a little grade bump.
